On December 27th, 2024, Give Bangladesh Foundation (GBF) hosted the ‘Annual General Meeting 2024’ at the Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium, University of Dhaka. The event brought together both current and newly recruited volunteers, as well as former members, whose presence we were honoured to have.
A comprehensive video presentation highlighted the impactful works done by the organization’s six active projects in 2024, alongside the remarkable events, including ‘Project Oxygen’ and ‘Emergency Response’ during the August-September flash flood. Through inspiring videos, the organization’s successes were reflected on, while the challenges encountered on the journey towards making a difference were also addressed. The event also served as a platform for GBF’s newly appointed Executive Director, Ahmed Fahmi, to outline the ambitious visions for 2025. There was a segment of interactive games that was successfully executed with the spontaneous participation of the volunteers, infusing the atmosphere with excitement and making the event more engaging. In recognition of exceptional dedication, some volunteers were honoured for their selfless contributions for the betterment of the country. Additionally, some former volunteers were presented with the prestigious ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ for their unwavering support, which played a pivotal role in transforming seemingly impossible goals into tangible accomplishments. The event concluded by warmly welcoming Ahmed Fahmi as the new Executive Director and the Executive body for 2025.
This Annual General Meeting was a remarkable occasion of reunion, reflection, joy, and inspiration, underscoring the collective spirit that drives the remarkable achievements of Give Bangladesh Foundation.
